For all registrations received after the cut off date of March 11th 2016 a late fee of $20 will apply. You may register on the day at the Registration Desk – please be aware that the cut off time for On the Day Registrations is 8.30 am. *Please note that late registrations will not receive a goodie bag.
Competitor numbers will be issued in the registration packs. All numbers must be attached to the front of your top and be clearly visible at all times.
 
This year Taihape Half Marathon and Events will be using the services of Active Timing Solutions.  The advantages to you are:
  • Fast and accurate results at the event.
  • The timing chip registers individual start times, so your race starts when you cross the mat at the start line. That means you don't have to worry about being at the back of the pack at the start.
  • Results are published on this web site  for you, your family and friends.
 
EARLY BIRD PRIZE - Enter before February 18th 2016 and go into the draw to win one of two amazing prizes. Up for grabs is a $100 Piccadilly & Co Voucher, sponsored by Taihape ANZ and a $100 Subway Voucher. The first 200 entires will all recieve a free McDonalds drink bottle.

Registration Packs are to be collected from the Registration Desk at the Half Marathon event site.

These can be collected from 7.45 am.

Water will be available for competitors along the route.
 
Entertainment and Refreshments
St Josephs School will be holding a sausage sizzle selling sausages, gourmet patties and drinks.  All other sales will be cash sales. NO eftpos available.
 
Prizes
Trophies will be awarded to the fastest male local (resident of Taihape or Mangaweka districts) and also to the fastest female local (resident of Taihape or Mangaweka districts) in the Half Marathon. A cash prize of is awarded to the fastest local (resident of Taihape or Mangaweka districts) in the 10km event.
Prizes will also be awarded to winners of the Half Marathon, 10km and 5km.
All entrants will be eligible for numerous spot prizes

Taihape Half Marathon T-shirts and Singlets are available to pre-order either via your online entry or using the printable PDF entry form. T-shirts and singlets are $30 each and available as:

Massages
Both pre and post event massage will be available on the day from 8.30am.
Cost is $15 for 10mins. Only cash payments can be accepted on the day, however internet payments may be made in advance. To reserve a time and pre-pay via internet banking, please deposit payment into account Westpac 03 1525 0020252 001 using your name and email address as reference. You will then be contacted to organise a suitable time slot.

How do I get there?
Taihape is located on State Highway 1 between Taupo and Palmerston North.  If coming from the north turn left at the Gretna Hotel or if coming from the south, then please turn right at the Gretna and follow the Napier Taihape/Spooners Hill Road for approx 3km and turn right  onto Pungatawa Road. Wainui Hall is approx 2km along Pungatawa Road.
