For all registrations received after the cut off date of March 11th 2018 a late fee of $20 will apply. You may register on the day at the Registration Desk – please be aware that the cut off time for On the Day Registrations is 8.30 am. *Please note that late registrations will NOT receive a goodie bag.
Competitor numbers will be issued in the registration packs. All numbers must be attached to the front of your top and be clearly visible at all times.
This year Taihape Half Marathon and Events will be using the services of Simple Race Timing. The advantages to you are:
  • Fast and accurate results at the event.
  • The timing chip registers individual start times, so your race starts when you cross the mat at the start line. That means you don't have to worry about being at the back of the pack at the start.
  • Results are published on this web site  for you, your family and friends.

Registration Packs are to be collected from the Registration Desk at the Half Marathon event site.

These can be collected from 7.45 am.

All events start and finish at Wainui Hall on Pungatawa Road.  
Drink Stations
Water will be available for competitors along the route.
Entertainment and Refreshments
St Josephs School will be holding a sausage sizzle selling sausages, burgers and refreshments. Cash sales only, no eftpos available.
Massage Tent
Optimum Health Taihape - Massage Therapy
Jackie M. Verheijde. CMT will be offering Leg Massages for a donation to St Joseph School.
Treat your body to a massage after crossing the finish line, pop into to see Jackie at the Optimum Health tent on site.
Medals will be awarded to the fastest female local (resident of Taihape or Mangaweka districts) and also to the fastest male local (resident of Taihape or Mangaweka districts) in the Half Marathon.
A prize is awarded to the fastest local female and male (resident of Taihape or Mangaweka districts) in the 10km event.
Prizes will also be awarded to winners of the Half Marathon, 10km and 5km.
All entrants will be eligible for numerous spot prizes.

How do I get there?
Taihape is located on State Highway 1 between Taupo and Palmerston North.  If coming from the north turn left at the Gretna Hotel or if coming from the south, then please turn right at the Gretna and follow the Napier Taihape/Spooners Hill Road for approx 3km and turn right onto Pungatawa Road. Wainui Hall is approx 2km along Pungatawa Road.
